John
Bruni began his writing career while working as a board engineer at
WNBC-NY for bad-boy talk show host Don Imus. John concocted humorous
squibs that Imus occasionally used on the air. After three years with
NBC radio, John moved to NBC's Experimental Projects division and helped
pioneer the use of mini-cams in television news. During more than twenty
years covering network news around the world, John earned two national
Emmy awards in sound and worked with six U.S. Presidents. John also
worked for ABC Network News for five years before deciding to try
something new, and he is now answering 911 calls for the California
Highway Patrol while working on a speculative fiction novel.
